Locksets found outside requires more in-depth maintenance, because they are more exposed to air, wind, rain and sunshine.  Firstly, outdoor locks made out of iron tend to rust if not cleaned often.  Secondly, all of your outdoor locks should be galvanised to guard them against the rain (and the sprinklers), and try to shelter your locks from cold weather.  Regular freezing and thawing of a lock only serves to speed up the deterioration process.  Contact us for more information.
